Hot Brass is a veteran woman-owned firearms safety and tactical training operator. We specialize in developing threat recognition, tactical response, defensive shooting drills, situational awareness and aftermath, and skill maintenance.
Our CEO
Hot Brass was started by veteran and retired law enforcement sergeant, Yolanda Ryce. With over 30 years of experience in law enforcement and weapons safety, Sergeant Ryce trains police officers, political officials, and federal agents. Hot Brass educates men, women and children, business owners, and other professionals, equipping them with the knowledge and skills necessary to stay safe in an uncertain environment.

What is included in a Hot Brass class?
Hot Brass values providing high-quality classroom instruction at the best cost. Our all-inclusive CCW course includes HQL, basic self-defense training, and specific non-lethal tactics.
Is there a discount for veterans?
Veterans are not required to take CCW or HQL training! Veterans can apply for their Maryland CCW or HQL at the Maryland State Police Licensing Division website.
